2000 PCOS Journal
10/22/00
-
I woke
up
to
AF...
which
ended
up
being
the
second
time
this
year
it
had
arrived.
The
first
time
was
back
on
May
25th,
2000
thru
June
3rd...
which
happened
to
be
my
entire
vacation
down
in
North
Carolina...
talk
about
timing...
ugh!!!!
Anyhow
back
to
October's
AF
visit...
on
the
4th
day
I
got
up
and
took
a
shower
like
normal
and
got
ready
to
go
to
work.
I
have
an
hour
drive/ride
I
guess
I
should
technically
say
as
I
ride
to
work
with
my
BF.
We
were
halfway
there
and
I
made
a
face
and
he
questioned
what
was
wrong...
I
just
told
him
that
I
seemed
to
be
very
heavy
which
usually
my
day
3
is
heavy
but
not
to
this
extent.
By
the
time
I
got
to
work,
I
went
to
get
out
of
the
car
and
it
just
gushed
out
of
me...
I
thought
it
was
very
odd...
but
proceeded
to
walk
into
the
building...
before
I
even
got
halfway
down
my
hallway
every
step
that
I
took
AF
was
literally
pouring
out
of
my
body....
the
entire
front
of
my
pants
were
covered.
Thankfully
I
only
stayed
at
work
long
enough
for
my
BF
to
come
back
and
get
me....
and
I
went
home...
the
entire
day
it
proceeded
to
be
like
that...
every
time
I
got
up,
every
step
I
took...
it
was
horrid!!!!
The
next
day
it
was
the
exact
same
way....
thankfully
it
ended
on
October
29th....
and
I
was
never
so
happy!
10/26/00
-
I
called
my
GYN
to
tell
them
what
was
going
on
as
this
is
very
abnormal
for
me....
my
regular
GYN
was
out
of
town
on
vacation...
but
they
set
up
an
appointment
for
November
3rd,
2000
with
another
GYN
that
worked
in
the
office
that
they
claim
is
very
very
good.
So
I
said
I
don't
have
a
choice
I
think
I
need
to
see
someone
so
I'll
take
the
appointment. 11/3/00
-
My
appointment
was
for
9
a.m....
I
got
there
and
being
a
new
doctor
she
naturally
asked
me
all
the
normal
questioning.
She
ended
up
doing
a
pap
to
see
if
anything
looked
abnormal
to
which
she
said
everything
looked
good
(hard
to
believe...
that
is
what
I
always
here
on
any
tests
I
ever
have
done)
BUT...
then
she
said
I
think
you
might
have
what
is
called
PCOS
(Polycystic
Ovarian
Syndrome)
YOU
THINK???????
HELLO!!!!!
I
had
been
telling
my
regular
GYN
for
the
last
8
years
that
I
thought
I
had
this.
Of
course
her
answer
was
no
every
woman
has
a
little
bit
of
PCOS
even
I
myself
do....
and
she
would
just
pat
me
on
my
head
and
push
me
out
the
door.
Then
the
next
time
I
would
see
her
I
would
say
something
about
it
again...
and
she
would
be
like
I
can't
believe
you
would
honestly
complain
about
getting
a
period
2
to
3
times
a
year...
you
should
be
grateful...how
I
managed
to
contain
myself
from
shaking
her
senseless
every
time
she
said
that
to
me
is
beyond
me...
my
bigger
question
now
is
why
in
the
world
did
I
continue
seeing
her
for
so
darn
long...
ugh!!!
Anyhow
Dr.
Butler
says
I
would
like
to
have
some
blood
work
done
up
on
you
and
see
what
the
results
say
and
then
do
a
vaginal
ultrasound
and
then
get
back
with
you
and
discuss
the
results
and
where
we
will
go
from
here.
She
said
I
might
put
you
on
birth
control
pills
for
3
to
4
months
to
try
and
regulate
your
periods...
which
I
didn't
honestly
want
any
part
of
that.
So
I
left
her
office
with
the
paperwork
to
go
and
have
blood
work
done
at
the
hospital...
and
also
scheduled
the
ultrasound
for
November
20th....
which
was
the
earliest
they
could
squeeze
me
in.... 11/20/00
-
I
went
to
the
hospital
for
the
vaginal
ultrasound...
when
I
walked
into
the
room
the
doctor
looked
up
at
me
and
said
have
you
ever
been
test
for
PCOS???
I
said
that
is
one
of
the
reasons
this
is
being
done
supposedly.
She
proceeded
with
the
ultrasound
and
said
that
my
ovaries
were
perfect
sizes...
but
that
my
endometrial
lining
was
pretty
thick
for
just
having
the
period
that
I
just
had...
so
she
was
concerned
about
that....
she
stated
that
I
did
have
some
follicles
present...
and
that
everything
looked
pretty
good.
12/5/00
-
Had
an
appointment
with
Dr.
Butler
to
go
over
the
results...
said
that
everything
is
pointing
to
me
having
PCOS...
geez
you
think????
But
my
numbers
aren't
really
all
that
bad
for
any
of
my
tests
from
all
the
blood
work
and
all...
most
everything
was
either
in
the
normal
range
or
in
the
high
normal
range...
so
she
said
there
is
a
medication
that
seems
to
be
really
doing
well
with
treating
PCOS
called
Glucophage...
And
I
said
yes
I
know
I
have
been
doing
a
lot
of
research
on
PCOS
for
years
but
no
one
has
ever
listened
to
me
or
wanted
to
do
anything
to
treat
me.
So
then
she
says...
well
before
we
go
and
put
you
on
this,
we
probably
should
have
your
boyfriend
do
a
semen
analysis
and
make
sure
that
he
is
fine
first.
Sure
why
not
I
have
waited
years
what
difference
does
a
few
more
days
make???
Ugh!!!!!
12/11/00 - BF and I went to the hospital for his semen analysis... we got a phone call later that afternoon from Dr. Butler stating that his count was a little low, and that his forward mobility wasn't the best. Granted though my BF has 2 children from a prior marriage... but she wanted him to go and see an urologist and then once he sees him, then we will work on you.
